Paul Ramsay Foundation

Evaluating the forming of collaborations in packages with philanthropy

The Paul Ramsay Foundation has been exploring how to build the collaboration capacity of organisations working with young people, people living in rural and remote Australia, people who have been incarcerated, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We have been working with PRF to evaluate the initiative alongside Collaboration for Impact and 19 organisational partners to evaluate the strengths, challenges and achievements of their collaborative endeavours, and to use these insights to build their collaborative capacity. This involves co-designing a culturally informed evaluation framework and approach, implementing data collection and synthesis procedures that incorporate traditional ways of knowing and doing, and developing regular knowledge exchange opportunities to share evaluation findings.
