Measurement Benchmarking

Measurement benchmarking is a process of comparing your approach to assessing the health, progress and results of your multi-stakeholder platform or partnership with others. Measurement Benchmarking is useful for building a shared understanding within your MSP of how your success may be measured and communicated.

Why do it?

Multi-stakeholder platforms and partnerships often operate in complex settings, where clear cause and effect relationships are difficult to describe. The unique role and contribution of an MSP to creating change is therefore challenging to assess. Identifying the key markers and measures captured and reported by other MSPs is an important step in understanding the currency of partnership work in your sector(s) and the types of information that those within and external to your MSP will require.
