In 2020 a new stakeholder engagement strategy was introduced to headspace, the National Youth Mental Health Foundation in Australia. With many changes to the way we all engage, both operationally and strategically, including with the greater emphasis now placed on online engagement, this project sought to evaluate progress towards the outcomes outlined in the strategy, and make recommendations about possible course corrections.
Following deep consultation with colleagues across the organisation, revised and new data collection instruments and approaches were designed and implemented across the national network of centres. These approaches included a national survey, interviews, focus groups and document reviews. Analysis and synthesis of results was conducted, and a formal report and impact dashboard presented with recommendations for ongoing improvement.
This project generated a comprehensive evaluation report and impact dashboard for stakeholder engagement at headspace. The findings from the evaluation inform ongoing stakeholder engagement activities within and across the organisation, including adaptive efforts to transition to hybrid ways of working.
